    The wine merchant Mövenpick Wein wanted to increase online sales during the pre-Christmas period.

    Solution

    nu: communications developed a Christmas online game in form of an Advent Calendar. There was a daily prize for one lucky winner, with the same products available at a discount to all other customers. The campaign attracted lots of interest online as users entered the competition and were able to buy online at bargain prices.

    Implementation

    To keep the administration and maintenance as low as possible we developed a calendar that was fully automatic in all its functions. This incorporated a 100% double opt-in feature, the automatic draw of the winners including a mail notification of the outcome of the raffle plus reminder mails to the other players. All applications were hosted by nu and run on our spare server capacity
